Divine Spells House Rules

Every divine spellcaster has automatic access to the spells in the Player's Handbook, Player's Handbook II, and the Complete Divine. Those who pick their daily spells freely can draw from any of the spells listed in the three books without special training or research. Spells found in other books may or may not be available here, and those that are will require special research or the discovery of a copy of the spell in scroll or grimoire form. The rationale behind this rule comes from the fact that arcane casters generally must research or discover new spells introduced by a new supplement, whereas most divine casters automatically get free access to all spells of their class. In the few cases of arcane casters that can pick freely from a spell list, such as sorcerers, the same restrictions apply- albeit Complete Arcane is included in the list rather than Complete Divine.
