Diety: Secretine, being an Accursed, has gone through a minor identity crisis, not the least of which is who she worships for her clerical healingness. Before she was tainted and gained the lovely little whisper in her mind, she worshipped Hesika, and thought that she still did. Alas, that is not so, any more, she now calls on Inran for her healing, a more palatable diety for the demon within to swallow.

Background: Born as most humans are, Secretine was one of those kindhearted individuals that helped creatures in pain from a young age, so naturally, she took training in the healing arts as she grew older. She devoted herself to easing the suffering of others, and a whisper reached her in her travels, roaming from village to village to help with births, broken legs and the like, of a disaster in North Neck.

When she got there, nothing had happened, so she was a little confused, but looked for a reputable inn regardless. Sometimes fortune favours the brave, the kind, the foolhardy, but fortune didn't seem to favour her that day, as she arrived just in time for the crystal to explode …and for her to gain her silken whisper.

Agony for Secretine, an endless ripping and tearing of flesh that lasted an eternity in a few seconds. She was a nice girl, before that day, pious, good, a firm believer in her faith and in the Divinity, your average human with a desire to heal. After that shockwave, she was less …balanced.

The tearing of her flesh, the transformative agony as the power meshed with her own and changed the latter, as well as changing her figure from what it was — a short, dark haired, olive skinned girl with a plump figure — to what it is, something decidedly …else. No longer was poor Secretine a human, no, no longer could she walk through the crowds smiling in return, no, now she was an Accursed. No longer alone in her head…but strangely, very strangely, despite the constant whispers of more nefarious urges, she kept her desire to heal others — if only because she delighted in the blood.

As such, healers didn't see… or rather, couldn't -cause- enough bleeding, and it was the fresh blood, pulsing and hot with the faltering beats of a dying heart, that her demon craved. As a result, still clinging stubbornly to her believed faith in Hesika, even though there was a seed of doubt in her mind, nursed by the silken whisper — your goddess forgot you, left you to suffer — opened the doors for her faith to change.

It's only recently that that doubt has crystallised, and bloomed into a new faith, a new diety found; Inran, God of that which is overlooked, the gaps and vacancies in theology, what is forgotten. And it is with -this- power that she heals, or kills. The body doesn't -like- to have holes in it, so she takes those holes away, returns the flesh to the vacancy it made, but, to destroy, she simply grasps hold of the vacancies within the enemies bodies, the yet to be made, the gaps between the cells, the spaces within the organs, and pulls them from the body. Funny, such a thing is oddly…explosive.

Left mostly alone by the law enforcement in Xian, both from being an Accursed and able to wield flame as readily as her healing — thanks to the knowledge of her demon — and from the fact that she helped out a few times, keeping more than a few soldiers on their feet, or alive during the battle. Funny, how they turn a blind eye to her insanity and merely class her as eccentric. After all, it wouldn't be healthy to lock up a 'holy hand grenade' and prevent them from being explosive…and healing with divine strength.
